Get your multi-engine rating in 5 days

Most career students wait months for the multi-engine rating. At Solo Aviation you can do it in one week. Our accelerated MEL program gives you up to 10 hours of flight training and 8 hours of ground in a G1000-equipped Tecnam P2006T at Ann Arbor Municipal Airport (KARB), and we schedule your checkride on Day 1.

NEXT START DATES

November 13 and November 20. Only 2 seats per week, so reserve early.

WHAT THE $5,000 COVERS

Up to 10 hours of flight training in the Tecnam P2006T

Up to 8 hours of one-on-one ground training

Your checkride, scheduled on Day 1 of the program

Examiner fee is paid separately, directly to the examiner

Need more time? Additional P2006T time is $400 per hour wet

WHY THE TECNAM P2006T

The P2006T is a modern light twin built for training. It has a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit and efficient Rotax engines, and it flies much like the light singles you already know. Your hours go into engine-out procedures, Vmc and single-engine approaches, not into fighting the airplane. If you're headed to the airlines, the G1000 time carries straight over.

What the week looks like. Day 1: ground on systems, performance and engine-out aerodynamics, first flight, checkride date locked in. Days 2 to 4: maneuvers, engine failures on takeoff and in cruise, Vmc demos, single-engine approaches, mock checkride. Day 5: checkride.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You need at least a private pilot certificate and a current medical. This program is built for:

Commercial and career students on an airline timeline

Private pilots adding a multi-engine rating

Time builders and finish-up pilots

CFIs going for the MEI (we offer MEI training too)

WHY TRAIN WITH SOLO AVIATION

Solo has trained pilots out of our own FBO for about 20 years. You fly with a small team, not as one of hundreds of students at a career mill. Our maintenance shop is on the field, so the airplane is ready when you are. Students come to Ann Arbor from Jackson, Detroit, Southern Michigan and Northwest Ohio.
